A bit of serendipity here....I've just stumbled across an article from the defunct British magazine, The Cyclist, dated 3 Nov. 1937 on cycling to notable places in the Guy Fawkes story. I'm happy to e-mail this two-page illustrated article in a pdf version to anyone who would like to read it. File size is 914k. Julie, I cannot do the whole ride, but would like to do some of it.  Maybe turn around somewhere with you and head back at least part of the way?

Will you wear your hat at a jaunty or rakish angle?

Here is the route map.  Departure from Four Moon Tavern will be at 1:30 pm, with stops at The Happy Village and The Skylark.  The finest  bicycle accessory will be a piece of firewood!
