This is a place to practice cycling skills and learn new ones. When was the last time you practiced emergency stops? Do you plan to do it ... next time you're in an emergency? That's a bad time to practice. Try out the skills you know and learn some new ones. Get your bike safety inspected by REI's certified bike techs, go for a trail ride, or meet new people to ride with. Make the clinic what you want it to be ... fun!
