Description

Cool weather sees many bikes put away until spring, but not ours.  Join British Bicycles of Chicago as we host the 2011 Bonfire Tweed Ride.

The route will leisurely take us from the north to south sides, stopping to enjoy autumnal urban beauty while dusk approaches. Warm yourself by a cheery bonfire with friends to herald the onset of winter.

Break out your flannel, corduroy, tweed or other autumn wear and join us.

I got the (Chainlink) eMail from John in my Yahoo! account, but I don't see the message in my Chainlink mailbox, or anywhere here, so I'll copy it for others, just-in-case ...

"A message from John to guests of 3rd Annual Bonfire Tweed Ride on the chainlink!
Psst! We are meeting at Guthrie's, 1300 W. Addison.
Don't come early-they open at 2pm. Don't dawdle though, as we have riding to do!
A bonfire needs fuel, so please strap a log to your carrier."

Well, for some of us in the suburbs who are trying to plan our weekend a last minute itinerary isn't the best option.

Well since the Chicago Ale House is no longer in business, my guess is it will be somewhere different.

The Chicago Ale House was where we started when the video was made, it may be a different kicking-off point this year - John will reveal all in good time, hopefully ...
