The Seersucker Social features a relaxed ride with the best of summer in Chicago, unsullied by artificial fibers.
We'll ride south from the loop to the Prairie Avenue Historic District and Hyde Park. A picnic at the Osaka Garden on Wooded Island, gelato at Istria Cafe, then music and dancing in Grant Park.
Seersucker, linen, madras and silk are encouraged. Bring your own tasty lunch.

Hi Megan, yes we made it back! I actually ended up riding Jaime's bike back and even that seemed easier. I will post some pictures sometime this week. I actually liked the way John's pictures turned out, especially of the garden. ~Murray :)
John, I think the blur might have been due to the settings in the camera. Since only the fringe is out of focus evenly, the camera might be set at miniature effect mode.
I was wondering about the blur and thought it couls have been water on the lens, or something similar - great day, despite the weather, loved being asked to leave the vicinity of the Metropolitan Correctional Center ...
A few more, blur possibly caused by wet camera.

Our route, including my rode from and back to Bridgeport ...
I don't see Lana on here but wanted to make sure she, Jaime and Jenny got home ok!
Thanks for organizing the ride, John! Like a bunch of us, I've never been to Jackson Park and it was lovely even though the rain.
