Pedaling into the night for a bicycle friendly Crystal Lake in collaboration with the Land Conservancy of McHenry County the 2016 Crystal Lake Night Owl Bike Ride will be held on Saturday night, August 6th, 2016. This year's ride will be $16 for a pre-registered rider or $20 the 'night of ' with a 500 rider limit.
The purpose of the late evening ride is to benefit the Land Conservancy of McHenry County and promote bicycling as a means of transportation and exercise within the city of Crystal Lake.
The idea is to have a unique, fun and healthy activity for cyclists to experience the streets, landmarks and the people of Crystal Lake and to further make Crystal Lake a bike-friendly community.
The ride starts at 11pm at the Crystal Lake City Hall Complex (100 w.Woodstock st.) parking lot.
There is a pre-ride event, 'Art of The Bicycle', at 9 p.m. at the City of Crystal Lake City Hall Building Lobby near the start of the ride. Come check out some unique bicycles presented by Wheel Werks Custom Bicycles.

Just about as "perfect weather" as possible is predicted for Saturday's 'Night Owl' ride. Pre-ride events start at 9pm. Crystal Lake Night Owl Bike Ride wheels roll out at 11pm and continue till 2am. See you there ! . . .
