Description

100K Populaire

The second event of our Dart – Pop weekend – a 100K permanent populaire.  In keeping with the “zen” of the weekend the idea behind this ride is that we’ll depart as a group and ride over to Spring Green where we’ll have breakfast at the Spring Green general store.

The ridewithgps route can be found here.

We’ll leave at 7:00 from the Kwik Trip at 378 W. Seminary St in Richland Center with about 35 miles to ride before breakfast so we should all have a good appetite by the time we get there.  The next control after Spring Green is an untimed info control so we’ll have plenty of time for a leisurely breakfast and that second cup of coffee before we head out to finish the ride.

Note that Spring Green is an open control so those just wishing to do the ride and not join us for breakfast can get a receipt in Spring Green (the Shell at US-14 is the recommended control) before continuing on.

Driftless Randonneurs is based out of beautiful Western Wisconsin, where some of the best riding in the country is based.  SW Wisconsin has plenty of hills and is characterized by many hills and valleys over low traffic roads. The Regional Brevet Administrator (RBA) for this region is Greg Smith.

The Driftless Randonneurs ride schedule for 2019 features some old favorites and some new routes and formats with the emphasis on getting qualified and prepared for Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP). All brevets start in the back parking lot of the White House Ramada Inn, 1450 Veterans Drive, Richland Center.

Please advance register on link to Driftless Randonneurs.

Hi Mike.

Greg switched the weekend in February, after I submitted all of these events to Chainlink.  So please use the Driftless Randonneurs website as the official calendar. There are no other changes, except this particular weekend, that I am aware of.

Hope to see you there!

Question:

According to the Driftless Randonneurs' website, this event is scheduled for the 27th of July. Which info is correct?
