No pics but did get about 16 miles in on the North Branch trail. Had to take it somewhat easy due to a bad sprain from a few weeks ago, so no sprints, but did average a decent pace and saw a lot of others out too. Was a great day to ride on Sunday!
33.5 miles on Sunday, took the scenic route from Naperville to Plainfield and back. Glorious!
40ish miles on Sunday to Bulldog Brewing in Whiting! The secret back way to Indiana is open, if not a little soft.
Three short neighborhood rides: one to Dan Ryan Woods, one around neighborhood streets, and one to my fave local coffeehouse (Hardboiled, 9135 S. Western).
The Dan Ryan Woods ride was to a habitat restoration workday. Off-road conditions were extremely muddy where the snow had melted, which was almost everywhere. Most of the snow was melted off the Major Taylor Trail. I figure I'll check out more of the trail this weekend, when it's likely to be clear.
On saturday my wife and I rode to a pretty great greenhouse behind the Chicago Center for Green Technology for a community gardener's orientation thingy. Then we rode to the Garfield Park Conservatory, (much of which is not open, but it is still worth a visit.)
Then lunch at the Garfield Park location of Inspiration Kitchens which was pretty much straight up awesome. Here is their space efficient bike rack:
