Could not find it anywhere on the channel5 website. I was watching the news and they only gave the story a quick 30 seconds. Something like $10,000 in stuff stolen. I can't find it anywhere though.

CHICAGO (CBS) – Three young men have been arrested for allegedly stealing $20,000 worth of high-end bicycles and accessories from a small shop along the Chicago Lakefront Trail.

WBBM Newsradio’s Mike Krauser reports 19-year-old Jeremiah Aviles, 19-year-old Israel Perez, and 22-year-old Mauricio Franco have been arrested on felony burglary charges.

The three are accused of breaking into Lakeshore Bike, a small bicycle shop on the Lakefront Trail at Recreation and Addison drives, around 5 a.m. on Sept. 7.

“These guys are avid cyclists, and they cherry-picked the best equipment in my place,” owner Demian March said.

They have some very reasonable bikes. Hell, I saw him sell a very nice used hybrid for $150.

Don't be fooled by the high end stuff, he has all price range stuff and is very reasonable for parts and labor.

"We believe bicycling should be a fun and affordable hobby for all cyclists." They say on their website.

Affordable $2000.00 wheel sets?

I'm glad they caught these scum-bags.  If only they would throw the book at them.

The penalty for bike theft should be quarteringAnd by quartering, I don't mean domiciled

As far as $2000 bikes go, what's the big deal?  Some people like decent equipment.  $2000 isn't really a lot of money. You can't even buy a set of tires for a Hummer for $2000.

$2000.00 is way too much for this man! Yeah thieves would even steal the rear wheel off this cheap dept. store bike and even the phony saddle that came with it. Some people also have an entitled sense to think this housing project ghetto pony riding cyclist could afford expensive parts and not worry about their bikes and parts of it getting stolen.

Dude had to make due with parts from the donation pile at work.

OMG the low BB on that bad boy.  But it looks pretty damn cool nonetheless with that 20"-er in back.

Thieves will steal anything not nailed down in this city.  $20 bike or $2000.  But I doubt they'd lift a building off of its foundation for this one.

Thanks. As a favor to the janitor for unclogging a toilet I might have stuffed, I am hoping this hack jobbed pony makes it through another season in his hood. I still rides pretty good.

Oh, that's someone's bike? I was about to send off a message to the Occam folks to see if they were missing one of their prototypes.

I heard about this on another site, and it's tragic!  I really like Lakeshore Bikes, partially because they are close to me, and partially because they are really affordable.  I don't remember the exact prices, but I got my brakes replaced and my wheel trued, and I was shocked by how cheap it was.

Who are these Occam folks so I can build bikes and components for them all day long? I tried Googling them with no luck.
