Bike theives in the loop

Last night around 7:30 I scared off a few guys trying to steal the stem and handlebars from a Giant road bike on Jackson and Wacker (outside NY Bagel Deli). Hope whoever owns it saw that the nut holding the stem was loose and tightened it. Wish I'd thought to take a picture instead of just stand nearby til they left. Hope those scumbags get busted.

Nope, younger. 3 of them on bikes and wearing backpacks with some stuff sticking out of them. Not sure if they were bolt cutters or other stolen components

I saw that picture above in a previous thread;however, I just noticed the sucker-pole on the right. (No bolt in the base of that sign holding the sign pole!)
