I used to get forms in the mail to sign, but haven't received anything the last three times I filed a complaint?

Yes, I use the "protected" bike lanes on both Milwaukee and Kinzie (and eventually Dearborn). He was weaving in and out of them. The bollards are now spaced out enough for cars to drive in and out of the bike lane (if parked cars aren't blocking them).

No one cares about traffic laws in this city because no one enforces them.

Did I mention that this happens nearly every morning? There's also Park District pickup trucks and industrial lawnmowers. Is nothing sacred anymore?

I have a lot less of a problem with the Beer Truck.  Its a service vehicle providing a critical fluid and it is using what is the only good alternative for a service drive for that particular location and is using it at a time of low usage.   Now if it were a Pepsi or Coke Truck or a Water truck....

It is a water truck.

Also, I hardly consider morning rush hour to be a "time of low usage". Maybe they should do their unloading at 3am.

I am pleased to see these folks out removing garbage, cleaning up the paths, mowing grass, fixing broken stuff, delivering food and beverage and landscaping the grounds. They are one reason I enjoy the lakefront trail so much. They keep it the way it is suppose to be (If you have ever seen the trail after a Fourth of July, Air & Water Show or the Pride Parade and it is clean the next day, you know what I mean). I wave a thank you when I can. There is one lawnmower guy I now recognize by sight. I have even stopped and thanked the landscaper people for doing what they do.

These operations need to be conducted during daylight.  Like it or not, morning rush hour is the period of lowest usage during daylight hours.   The beaches are not yet open and most of the "casual" users are not on the trail.   Its limited shared usage of a proper type.  How else do they deliver the beer and pick up the empties?

I see no reason why a truck can't pick up and drop off beer at night. The trail is sufficiently lit up at night, plus the truck has its own headlamps. Why exactly is daylight needed?

It would be a shame if someone saw that car driving recklessly in the city and phoned it in.

He called back to me to call the cops, and if said if they get there and ticket him before "his guy" comes to move his car, that's okay with him.  I did, and 12 minutes later, his "guy" showed up to move his car - no cops.

Got up, went and donated blood and went for a jaunt, almost passed out.  In that fine line between passing out and sleeping that can be found around events to do with alcohol and blood donation I took a snooze under a tree.  Got up, went to 7-11 got a big gulp and kept going.  28 miles.
