So I guess you did not have a problem with that nasty north wind and the ice crystals on the way home?

Yes. Only 6 miles. Sunny and 70 degrees. Oh, wait, I'm riding in Orlando this week!
I trust my ears too much to feel comfortable under the tracks. Plus I have flashbacks to The Blues Brothers. Under the el and when I'm driving on Lower Wacker.
The trail was icing up last night and with the snow this morning I took the train. Three days this time of year and in these conditions isn't that bad.
Took the subway for the second time this week. The snow was slippery and the wind forecast for this afternoon was nasty. Have I ever mentioned that I hate the wind?
The wind definitely made for some exercise on the way home last night.
We'll see what it's like tonight.
I made the mistake once of passing a cab on the right (on Clark, in Andersonville) while he was dropping off a passenger without pulling to the curb (thus completely blocking the bike lane). Trust me, getting doored is probably no softer. I wouldn't want to repeat the experience. In the future, if swerving into traffic wouldn't work, slamming on my brakes and going ass over teakettle onto his trunk would be preferable...

Roads were fine today until I hit a path of ice ice swerving into the slush accumulation in the gutter to avoid a passenger side dooring from a cab.
Never realized how red a fire hydrant really is! And if you had turned a little bit to the right when you took 4508 you would have gotten the bike rack on the dock. ;-)

I just got back from a short shopping expedition by bike. Got another planned for this afternoon. It's a perfect day for a ride. That sun feels great. If you haven't gotten outside yet, GO!!!
Short Cold ride to "No Mans Land" today Wilmette and back to E-Town
