The Chainlink

I don't have much information other than what's in the story:

http://www.mysuburbanlife.com/2012/12/04/bicyclist-struck-by-truck-...

Thursday, someone who knows the rider posted on a local FB page that he was still in ICU.

This happened 2 blocks from us and we go through that intersection virtually every day whether driving, walking, or biking. In fact, my daughter and I passed through there on our tandem shortly before this happened.  It is one of my least favorite intersections to ride or walk through. The City of Berwyn installed a red light camera there due to the high number of accidents, but it only monitors 26th street, not East Avenue.

Thoughts and prayers for a complete recovery

Thank you for the update!
I assume he's in Hinsdale?

He's at RML --  3435 W Van Buren St, Chicago, IL

Thanks. I'm surprised they sent him to that one and not the one in Hinsdale (I thought the suburban one had been mentioned previously.)  I wonder about organizing a ride.... a group to present him with a large get well sign or something similar...

i am in for doing a ride there....

I like that idea.

Great idea

If there's going to be a ride should we find out if there is something he needs, some device or otherwise, and perhaps all kick in a few bucks when we show up so it can be purchased?

yeah, awesome idea h'

That idea is even better.  First thought-- maybe a nice boom box for bedside, but of course much better to ask his wife.  Should also probably find out if he's able to see out a window.

Justin's wife just confirmed he IS at the Hinsdale RML, not Chicago. Sorry for the misinformation.

She also says he has a few big windows, so that's nice.
