John - I've really enjoyed this series.  Keep on walking and writing.

Sorry but I wouldn't walk down around Madison & Pulaski unless I was wearing a bullet proof vest.

Actually, you'd be surprised. Madison and Pulaski is the center of a vibrant shopping district sometimes called the "Downtown of the West Side" which, during the daytime at least, felt as safe as walking around the Loop.
