Flyer to Instruct Taxis how to Share the Road with Bicycles

I found this little flyer while searching around- I wonder if they actually pass these out to the taxi drivers?

That's distributed to all new and renewing taxi drivers through the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection.

Great flyer. It looks like something Mr. Bike (Dave Glowacz) put together.

Now if only the majority of taxi drivers would actually look at the flyer and follow it's directions. Maybe I can keep a few of these in my bag and pass them out next time one of them cuts directly in front of me and stops. :)

Sort of. The graphics are his, but the content was put together at CDOT.

My Mom currently drives a limo and prior to that drove a taxi in the city for over 20 years. I just gave her a call to ask about this flyer. She has to renew her Chauffeur license annually and has never seen or been given anything on sharing the road with cyclists or pedestrian safety.

She'll have to renew again in April so I'll ask her to look around to see if at least they have them on a brochure rack or anything like that.

Ooh, that's good to know Rich. I'll look into what's happening with this.

Thanks for asking Rich.  After seeing all this good information, I suspected that it wasn't getting to the people it needs to since too many violations occur in my life every day.

Tape the brochure to a brick and chuck it through the cab's window ;-)

"Before you pull over, put on your TURN SIGNAL..."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

I'd be broke even if I had a thousand dollars for every time I've seen a cab use their turn signal...

The first step is for them to care.
