Of course, it's a speaker or only in one ear. Let's not devolve into a debate on how we listen to tunes, k?

Ok, that said. I have a "cadence mix" I used to use when I did training rides.

What music makes you happy when you ride?

I'll throw a few out there - I like listening to ELO e.g. "Turn to Stone", "Livin' Thing", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Mr. Blue Sky"

Sooo, what songs do you like to sing then?

While I share your sentiments regarding listening to headphones while cycling, Yaz kinda prefaced this thread with a request to NOT devolve into just this sort of debate. FWIW.

I assume that  I  am not listening on headphones since i am in traffic.  I would be  using a Boombot or some other  speaker. That means anything soft or subtle will not be  heard over the din of  the streets. That means I  have to  balance the stuff I want to  hear with the stuff that will not piss off the world around me.  Sure,  I  could  do that. I like  to  put the >40 gb of tunes on shuffle  and have all of it happen one track at a time.  Keep pedaling until the  next one plays,"ooh, I  forgot I  had that..." Keep pedaling.

And, of course, every bike-tape needs the Aluminum Group's "Girl's Bike."

1990s/2000s Ska. Suicide Machines, Streetlight Manifesto, Reel Big Fish, Mighty Bosstones, Goldfinger, Catch 22, etc. The song that gets everyone to smile is "Another F.U. Song".

This one gets me so amped up especially if I'm on my speediest bike

What's the name of that song again?

I'll admit to compulsively singing the Chicago Bears fight song on long climbs...

What -- not "Go, Cubs, Go"?!

THIS is why we can't have nice things.

And although it is primarily/eternally associated as perhaps THE motorcycle freedom anthem, I love to belt out Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild" while laying into the pedals.
