The Chainlink

I just finished this project and wanted to share the photos

I started with this my '09 Colnago EPS
Image

Then I took off the SR-11 parts, added a few new ones and made thisImage

Then I sent the Colnago EPS frame to Ruckus Composites to be converted for electronic shifting and a respray, first they stripped the paint Image

Then they drilled the new holes as needed, and filled the holes that were no longer neededImage

while they are working I gathered up these, Campagnolo SuperRecord 11 EPS V2 parts,

They only used the head badge decal, everything else is masked and paint layers, the black is actually through to the bare carbonImageImageImageImage

Looks great!

LMAO! Really, who has a green milk crate?
The milk crate is not to scale. I thought this is what you did for a living?

It's one of those fake ones they sell at Target.

Is that a spacer I see under your stem?? I thought all you Italian-carbon weight-weenie types slammed your stems! :)

Because putting SRAM on a Colnago is like puiing cheese wiz in your lasanga !!

Very Nice, I like the vintage vibe of the decals.  You are now ready for the tour… Enjoy your ride

You went for the colnago master paint job on an eps. Is the frame dark blue/purple or black?

I looks pretty slammed to me.  I wouldn't be able to look further than 10 feet in front of the wheel with full neck extension upwards.

Then again I have a short torso & arms with long legs and a bad back...

When the EPS was released in 09 they did a very small run of these two colors, Zabel blue and Sarronni red. I wanted the blue but it was not available anymore, so I picked the red and white paint scheme. The blue is called Maseratti blue, it is a very deep blue with a slight metal flake background. They use this color in some of their newer bikes.

The headset top cap is about 8mm tall and curved, on top of that I have a .05 spacer and then another .05 spacer on top of the stem as per Colnago's recommendations for a carbon steerer tube. I could replace the top cap of the headset to get a little lower, or use a different angled stem but these measurements are for the fit set up I have had done.

You have an issue with bacon/cheddar Easy Cheez in lasagna?

Shit, my mistake, you said Cheez Wiz.

Don't go blaspheming on my Easy Cheez!!!!
