Yes, not to be overly wordy about it: It hurt. In a while it will be colder and my co-workers will be amazed that I'm riding but it takes a while for the system to get acclimated.
I rode! Commuted from the loop to Ravenswood at 10:30pm. Counted 10 other people biking between the loop and home. Actually a pretty nice night, if you have the right gear! And watch out for that wind!!
Well let's consider. Two days ago it was almost 60 degrees. Today it was freezing but at least there was no wind and the lake front trail was very clear of both congestion and obstacles of any kind. (No ice yet at the Oak Street bend.) I'll take it! If only it could stay this way until spring.
I'd completely forgotten how nice it is to have the LFP to yourself in the morning. Coming home in the dark, it can be a bit lonely, but this morning was incredibly pleasant.

A bit lonely, but no shoalers this morning to deal with.
A couple of other cyclists along the route, but was pleasant. Even a bus driver motioned to me to go ahead when we were both stopped at the light.
My third winter, too, and it was a really good ride this morning. I saw ice on Hubbard. But it did not make me happy. Ice should stay in my freezer.

My third winter in, I was reminded how much I love riding in cold weather this morning. I saw ice on Damen! Like what happens to water in my freezer, but on the street! Woo!
I know, right?
Global warming MY ASS. If you needed any proof that this "theory" is wrong, just step outside...
Are you for real?

Uh...yes?
Next thing you know global warming will be real cuz it's hot on a summer day!

Wait! I thought the question was whether I rode today. I don't think it was whether I believe in climate change.
I did ride, as I said, and it was great, as I said! And I am going to ride home, too. And it will be great.
