The risks go up and the rewards go down when it's raining so, yes, I curtail my riding. There isn't a lot of virtue in riding soaked, though perhaps a little self-satisfaction at being a hardcase.
I came home from a ride, dripping wet but feeling like quite the BA for not having let a little water keep my off the bike only to have my ego challenged by my sweetie who wondered allowed what kind of a DF would be out riding a thunderstorm...sigh.
This is the first day in a very long time that weather is going to stop me. It is one thing to get caught in a deluge, but quite another to deliberately set out in one when I have alternatives.
What felt like a little drizzle when I stepped outside seemed to pick up, and up...and up, as I rode downtown. :) Oh well, I made it!
Riding in the rain always makes me feel like a little kid again. I love seeing other folks on the street who are enjoying it as much as I am (I'm looking at you, guy in the suit with the broken umbrella and giant grin). I probably saw 10 other riders this morning on Milwaukee.
I could not have said this any better. Thanks, Lisa.

I've never seen it, but Chitown_Mike totally looks BA. I bet he doesn't even look at explosions as he slowly pedals away!

Other than removing my fun rides, hasn't stopped me at all. In fact I enjoy buzzing by traffic knowing I look like a BA at stop lights with water running down my glasses.
At least I think I look like a BA......
I've been stuck on too many soaked slogs on long rides to willingly go through one for my commute.
I definitely did not look BA today in my huge safety-yellow poncho, green shoe covers and a baseball cap under my helmet. But, at least I got to my doctors appointment and to work clean and dry.
I was thinking to myself that I should start The Dry Dorks Club. Only the ridiculous need apply.
