I'm right west on the other side of the golf course and will try to make it to the meeting.

Jeff

I will try to make it after work.

When all the neighbors complain about "trees being cut down" to make room for the extension, someone should ask them how many trees were cut down to make room for their house to be built.

Go to the meeting - hear what "Not In My Back Yard" really sounds like.

@Bob, I hope it doesn't turn into one of those meetings. I just want to take a look at the plan.

I was at the last meeting - and it turned into a brouhaha.  We need a lot of bicyclists to show up and support the Forest Preserve in this project.

In my opinion: This trail extension will get built in spite of the opposition to the neighbors who want to remain living in the woods.  Minor changes have already been made, taking into consideration some of the suggestions from the neighbors.  These changes were explained at the previous meeting.

The people from the neighborhoods kept suggesting keeping the route on city streets - and they kept referring to these residential streets as "bike paths".

In my opinion: these meetings are just being held to give the neighbors a chance to vent and complain.  We need many to show up, not to engage in argument or discussion but to show support for the Forest Preserve for this kind of work and for this project.

Always when I am working, can we come late?

Woah, way cool.  I had no idea there were any plans for an extension.  I won't be able to make the meeting tonight, does anyone have a map of the proposed extension?

I will try to make it. I could use this on my commute home.

Those of us who will benefit from it should go to counter balance the area neighbors who may voice opposition. I could see this meeting being a draw for those who are against the extension and those of us who want it feel no need to go. I just want it built already. It's been in the works for a long, long time.

Chitown_Mike: More information on the Calendar:

http://www.thechainlink.org/events/north-branch-trail-southern-exte... and there should be a continuing discussion until 8 PM or so, which is listed on the agenda.

I'm really excited about this project, will make my bike commute much better. I will try to make the next meeting.

A webpage with some project information is now posted: http://fpdcc.com/NBTSE
