I mean is that really the only details you give when asking for volunteers?

Bryce - Seems like you'd get more volunteers if you say something about the event and give an approximate time frame.  Just my $0.02...

There's a time-to-get-fit 10k run on the LFP that day that starts and finishes at Grant Park. The loaf-a-thon begins at 8 a.m., probably with a lot of the advance volunteer prep-work (placing obstacles on the LFP, gathering in large crowds at blind curves, running power cords across the path) beginning well before anyone has any reason to expect them to be out, I'm guessing around 5:30 a.m.

Fleet Feet sponsored. Typical sloppiness for them.

Perhaps what he needs is individuals to marshal a parade of bicycles?

OOOOO....a bike parade.  I'd love to see a $10k Cervelo with colored tassels streaming out of a pair of tri-bars.

Bryce, did you try sending out the appeal for Course Marshals for the 10 K to any running sites ? I'm ok with understanding the running community's needs, and have supported and enjoyed some of their events in the past. Sorry, I am not available to do this event. Try a C.A.R.A. site if you are not getting any responses here.

Perhaps it's actually a ride to Marshall's.  Bryce could just need a couple of people to tag along and keep him company.
