The Chainlink

OK - this is rare (the post)

I have an old friend visiting for the weekend from the burbs

she is 100% Irish Catholic (bring on the jokes) - professional (no longer needs to practice)

we are both pretty broke (not rare)

looking for something FUN and LIVELY and CHEAP to do tonight

we have a car (there is the bike content)

free billiards would be a plus   ;-)

thanks chainlink

"Bring Me the Head of James Franco, That I May Prepare a Savory Goulash in the Narrow and Misshapen Pot of His Skull," Ian Belknap's one-man show at the Den Theater in Wicker Park. I won't be able to see it until next week, but I love Write Club (his creation.) I think it's ~$15, and you can walk up Milwaukee and get something cheap to eat before or after, or find billiards. And she ain't gonna find stuff like that in the suburbs :)

Honky Tonk dance party at The Empty Bottle. Starts at 6pm though, so a little on the earlier side. But cheap bear, cheep pool, and delicious food next door at Bite.

Karaoke at The Hideaway, 2 blocks west of Harlem on Roosevelt.  Goes until 2:30 A.M. Free pool.

It would be hard for even you to get kicked out of there.

Kansas at Copernicus Center.  Still 3 original members including the lead vocalist.  Tickets start at $18.  8 PM.

Allrighty then...
