Why would I care what Peter V. Bella writes? What are his qualifications besides writing a blog?

The friend who forwarded that link said Bella's opinions are ridiculous. I was just passing along another crazy idea being put forth by someone who apparently knows nothing about bikes. I don't know. Maybe he's vying to be the Dorothy Rabinowitz of Chicago.

Way to be classy including a pic of people mourning by a ghost bike. I hope that when you die that someone will write something about the blight of your tombstone. Also good luck getting licenses and registration enforced with Chicago being Murder capital USA and all.

And apparently he 'covers' things for a marginal website which likely pays little, if anything.  No wonder, if the photos accompanying this piece are a sample of his 'photojournalist' skills.

 

In other words, he's unemployed.  And his understandable bitterness about his life flavors his opinion pieces.

So he is more to be pitied than scorned.

I don't know who he is and I don't really care. He is a fool and/or a giant troll. Dude just wants attention to write in such a clearly incendiary manner. References ghost bikes with such poor taste.
