Well look at that! One of the stations on your list is scheduled to go in today (from Divvy's fb page):

Six new stations planned to go in today: Paulina St & 18th St, Emerald Ave & 28th, Western Ave & 21st St, Normal Ave & Archer Ave, Ashland Ave & 21st St, and Halsted St & 18th St. Celebrate!

Sigh.   Expanding to Evanston is great.  What I simply do not understand is the failure of Divvy to go West as far as the Blue Line.  Lots and lots of people might be able to use Divvy from the Irving or Addison stops and go east.  But instead of stretching to a transit route, Divvy appears to be looking to go North along a transit route.

It would be great if there was a station at 26th/Cal by the courthouse to help out people who work there or are trying to get to jury duty, court appearances, etc.  I see there are some relatively close stations, but seems like a natural spot.  

Agreed--the more they can fill in those locations that are off on angles from train lines, the better. That seems to me to really fill in that transit gap that this is supposed to be designed for.

Irving Park should be a "no brainer".  Its not only a CTA stop, its also a stop on the Northwestern Commuter rail service.  And its a frequent stop, as a result, for Cub fans.   And the very very wide sidewalks under the Kennedy next to the El Station appear perfect for a large Divvy corral.

I didn't realize there wasn't one there.  Nor is there one by the Fullerton Metra station in Logan Square. Or the Metra stop near Grand/Western. Also no brainers.   Surprising--hope they'll come in the next wave. 

The current map of proposed stations has no station closer than Kedzie and Montrose to the Irving Park El Station.   This is clearly "too far West" for the current mindset of Divvy.  And that's too bad because it would likely be a very high use station.  At least for Grand and Western you can get as close as Grand and Damen...

Though I may never need to use its services, it is really inspiring to see Divvy bikes riding around the west side. This is the kind of transportation system that is looking like it will change the segregated culture of Chicago's neighborhoods.

Say, does anyone know what the deal is if an individual Divvy bike locking station has lights flashing?  That suggests to me there's an issue with either the bike or the station, but I also sometimes see these bikes with lights flashing (but not often).

Individual blinking lights just mean it was ridden recently, and the battery hasn't completely wound down.

I should have taken a picture, the lights are on the locking station itself, and on the opposite side of where the bike's front tire goes.  I've been grabbing a Divvy at Jackson & State and noticed this for the first time earlier this week, I was wondering if this might be some high-tech way they flag bikes which are to be moved to another station or something like that.

Are you talking about the head tail lights on the bike? The dynohub has a standlight that keeps the lights flashing for awhile after the bike stops. This is really so that the lights stay on at stoplights, but also means that the lights on bike that has just been dock will be flashing in the dock. If you're asking about the yellow and green lights on the dock it probably means there's a problem with the dock, but I'm entirely sure.
