Will bike share time limits cause more red light running?

'cause those late fees are huge!

Not sure why he worried about the overage fees, since it looks like the bike itself got totaled. Doesn't that cost $1200?

Apparently whatever trauma he suffered was nothing compared to his mortal fear of late fees, as our tipster overheard the injured man say, as he was being loaded into the ambulance: "But I have to dock it in the next 10 minutes!"

Is this The Onion?

Seems rather Onionesque to me.  ;)

Most of the Citi Bike users commenting on Streetsblog New York seemed to find that they rode more slowly and were more observant of traffic laws when they rode a Citi Bike. Some said they felt more like a "bike ambassador" with a responsibility to behave, others said the clunky nature of the bikes led them to slow down, and others speculated that maybe one instinctively is more cautious when riding "borrowed" equipment.
