Serge, I was counting, too, and forgot about it by the time I posted.  I saw seven (7) and only two of those were in my neighborhood.  The others were all from when I hit Kinzie at DesPlaines to the Daley Center.

Only two people passed me on the LFT this morning, as I was headed south.  I did not see anyone going north.

I have tried the neoprene socks and baggies and neither worked (for me).

I find the biggest issue is to keep the layers loose; too tight and it just cuts off the circulation.

My waterproof boots have been the best addition to multiple layers of wool.

However, I only made it about three miles to North Avenue, when I lost contact with my feet turned icicles.

Nevertheless, it was a good ride and I was pretty happy to arrived at the office today in a reasonable amount of time.  The sun was still shining and that was added treat!

(Always a good day to ride!!)

I rode today and saw 6-7 people. It was definitely a cold ride. I think  a lot of people are still on vacation because car traffic seemed really light today as well.

The weather was perfect. I wonder if there are fewer cyclists because schools out? Maybe all the college kids are on vacation somewhere warm. In any case my hands are still freezing. I wear fleece gloves under some Novara winter gloves. Otherwise I'm nice and warm. :) yeah it was nice to see you drop in NYE.

there was moderate traffic on lincoln and a few bikes this morning despite the freeze. snot anyting to worry about

A lot more cyclists out on the way home than there were on the way in, and a few in the Dearborn lanes. Left off half of the layers I wore for the ride in, including only glasses and not goggles. Wind out of the west surprised me a bit, though.  It was funny to feel it slowing me down as I coasted down the hill from Kinzie and DesPlaines toward Green.

Agree with Lisa, more sightings on way home.
Weather was perfect this morning, around 9am riding in the sun sure helped, saw a handful of runners on LFP between Margate park tunnel and North ave.
Don't remember any bicyclist, did see some on the way home around 6:30

15 degrees and sunny and little wind, sure beats 40 degree sideways rain.

15 degrees again this morning.  Very strong headwind, just took my time.

Glad I am not on the LFP.  The commute in is mostly south and the wind was bad enough on the side streets.

Milwaukee was empty this morn, wind wasn't as bad as I thought, I didn't feel any gusts.  I'm riding up to Wilmette after work, shoudl be a lot warmer.  Has anybody rode Lincoln N from North? Is it safe all the way to McCormick?
