I think my favorite is the guy in the Porsche.  I don't know why.  I guess it's just hard not to look like a total jerk sitting in a Porsche in a bike lane...

He's in the lane AND next to a fire hydrant. Maybe he can block someone in a wheelchair while he's at it.

I almost stopped to take a picture of a truck in the bike lane yesterday...this might actually get me to follow through next time.

I fear if I started taking pictures of cars/trucks in the bike lanes, I would never get to my destination. :/

Agreed.  There's been a lot of times where I considered stopping to take a photo...and then didn't.  I'll likely do so now with this in mind.

Particularly in the case where a business vehicle is involved---I'm looking at you Partytime Productions truck---it would be great if submitters included time/date along with location so business owners could be made aware of bad decision-making on the part of their drivers.  I'd like to think some business owners will react as well as the manager of the car dealership that was the subject of discussion here some months ago did.

Had a cabby sit in the bike lane after I called him out, even while I called dispatch to report him... as soon as my camera came out he took off like a scalded rabbit.

I will be sure to keep my camera handy to contribute to the project.

I used to participate in My BikeLane Chicago -but it's a lot of work to manually enter information every time.  There should be an app for smartphones.

Thanks for sharing, Renee!

The trick is to stop slightly in front of the car after passing and not let them see you with the camera until right before you take it.  About 90% of them speed off as soon as they realize what I'm doing.

Porsche guy yelled "I'll run you off the road!" without me saying a word.

Wow, that's shocking.  ;)

For some reason, that spot where the Porsche is seems to be popular. I've seen a number of cars there, including a repeat offender.

I just submitted a classic, of a UPS driver parked and unloading in the bike lane. Since it's awaiting approval, I'll post it here as well. It particularly irks me when they park in the bike lane in spite of PLENTY of actual curb space right there. This is on northbound Dearborn in River North.

Note to self(warning to the rest)

When you witness a taxi using the bike lane to speed past traffic and then catch up to him at the next light...stand in his blind spot so he doesn't see you doing it.

By the time I got to my camera function on my cell phone, he exited his vehicle to let me know he was going to "break my head".

He did give permission I guess...he said "I don't give a f**k you took my picture".

I like the garbage truck wedged in an inch from the dividers.  That guy was really determined!
