Metra only has holiday (Sunday) schedules on Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. But, they may have pre- or post-holiday schedules, which would be posted on Metra's homepage, http://metrarail.com

Those of in the closer zones will be paying a higher percentage increase on 10-rides and monthly passes.  My increase for Zone C (includes far south side and some inner ring suburbs) is about 34%.  Uggghhh!!!

My pass is going up $30 a month. I hear that Metra hasn't increased prices in a while though. I wouldn't know as this is my first year on the train.

not that im going to do it, but it would now be cheaper for me to ride my motorcycle to work than take the train.  Still cheaper than driving.

 

and one must still account for the 'hands off' time of being able to relax a bit instead of being afflicted with road rage
