Roomate needed in 3 bed 2 bath for rent in West Town

For July 1,

looking for room mate to share a 3 bedroom 2 bath at grand and ogden.  huge apartment, approx 2200 sf.  bedrooms are slightly above average chicago sized (9x12 - 108 sf).  your room has a narrow walk in closet. room is north facing, looking onto grand ave.  a peek to the right out the window gives you a view of the john hancock building. you would have your own bathroom as well.

the apartment is complete with washer, dryer, dishwasher, mounted microwave, gas stove.

huge sun room in back, but not insulated so it gets cold in the winter.

gigantic yard, a whole city lot is our space.  we are actively creating a garden with flowers, veggies, and hops.  we get our garden water via rain barrels.  yard also has a 10x30 patio space. we have a view of the sears/willis tower from the back yard.

there is plenty bike parking space in the stairwell, basement area, and sunroom (we hang our bikes there).  all secure, as no one else lives in the building.

we are about a 10 min walk from the blue line, the grand bus just steps away, we are near places like twisted spoke, clutch, the green grocer, sip. there are two jewels, two dominics, and stanley's within a mile and a half or less, right off of 90/94.

about us:

we are a couple (late 20s, early 30s), we have two cats and a big dog who thinks he is a lap dog and wants to be everyones best friend.  we try to cook every night, mostly vegetarian dishes. we enjoy our netflix, brewing beer, and cycling with friends.  we work monday thru friday 8-5, so we generally turn in early.  we're not big party people, tho enjoy friends over for a drink or dinner every once in a while. we do hope to have a few summer evening parties around the firepit.  we take pride in the apartment and try to keep clean, nicely furnished and decorated. we like to discuss and resolve issues immediately. we firmly believe that home is a sanctuary and should be a peaceful happy place (sorry for sounding like a hippy there). we are excited about our garden, and you will see us doing a bunch of work there trying to grow some food.

about you:

we are very open people though we do have some expectations.  the ideal room mate has a job - we will not pay your rent.  we are open to animals, tho we need to make sure all will get along.  we expect you will help maintain the cleanliness of the apartment and dont allow dishes to stack up - we do not expect OCD, but basic apartment chores are expected on a regular basis.  we do have a big yard with a grass lawn.  we all take turns mowing. most importantly - we are looking for someone that understands the basic intricacies of a shared living environment, and understands open communication and conflict resolution. abrasive attitudes, negativity, and passive aggressive behaviors will not be tolerated.

rent is $700/month, with one month security deposit.  move in currently stands at July or Aug 1, early move in may be available.
