It appears that major mainstream news outlets are finally picking up this story:

I'm happy to hear that the charges have been upgraded to attempted murder
Considering upgrading the charges to attempted murder. "[p]rosecutors can decide whether to bring charges only after police close their investigation, which may take 30 days. The man is currently free."

Any word on if he's been taken into custody? I don't know how a police investigation goes down there but that video makes things a lil easier one would think. Unless it's like Colorado where he's somebody with a job somewhere...
I am certain it was not an accident. There have been many masses where irate cagers start threatening to run people over and some actually try it. Agressive corking may be part of the problem.

first time I'm looking at this.  so sad, I'm almost crying.
I feel you, Julie. I am usually a pretty tough cookie when it comes to viewing real-life tragedy on video, but this came way too close to home. I was not only taken aback by the callousness of the driver and his actions, but literally cringing in horror at what did. It takes a lot to do that to me.

I could not stand to see the rest... My heart was pounding with rage and sadness.
