The Chainlink

Does anyone know who I should contact to petition for a light on the lakefront path behind the Theater on the Lake?  When I ride by at night, I can barely make out other people.  I ride with lights, but not everyone does, plus there tends to be people running at 10pm who are oblivious to bikers.  The area is under construction as it is and does not appear to be safe for anyone after the sun set.

That area IS really dark. Perhaps calling the park supervisor might help. If you get no action there, try the Lincoln Park Advisory Council. They should be interested.
Thank you. Hopefully they are able to help.
What your gonna really have to do is get the right person and contact # and then most likely no one will want to do anything. So you could make some cardboard signs and post them with Park District Info asking to call. I will call if you send me the Info as I am sure 100+ other people on this site as well because we all want everyone to remain intact this summer. If you could make that happen, you most likely can accomplish anything.
The park advisory council (PAC) has official standing in the park district system to request this type of improvement and put pressure on them to deliver. They are probably in the best position to respond and get results. Leaning on the public safety angle will help.

Calling the park supervisor may not get any direct results, but will make that person aware that people have an issue that needs attention. It also adds emphasis to the PAC's request.

The links in my previous post (above) will take you to pages that include phone #s for the right people.

I am on a PAC for a different park, so I'm familiar with the process.
