Drivers: Drink More Coffee

Not sure what is going on, but yesterday and today I think I was almost-smashed at least 10 times during my morning commute. Traffic has been awful (for cars) on Elston going into and out of the city both mornings and it's making all of the drivers crazy and super oblivious to my presence.

Is there construction going on somewhere else that is causing everyone to converge on Elston? Anyone else have any problems? Is there a caffiene shortage?!?!?

So anyways what does "almost smashed" mean exactly? Does that mean a little squished? Dented? Squeezed?
