What does everyone do for a living?

I work at a construction company on Ashland and Armitage as a project administrator - where swearing is a way of life, we drink too much coffee, work too hard, and party harder. I also do theatre work, mostly in management, and writing.

Mmm.

Out of work Prepress Specialist, looking.
It was kinda nice having the summer off to go riding (nearly 1200 miles this season, not too bad for an old guy) but now would like to be back working.

Currently an at-home but rarely home mom of a 3 y.o. Certainly this is my fulltime position. Some of our favorite things to do involve the bike! Bike to the zoo, bike to the park, bike to a picnic, bike to the store, bike...bike...bike. Not a day goes by without my little one asking to go for a ride.

Also I am a part time wardrobe consultant for upscale women's apparel. I hold trunk shows a few times a year. This is slow going right now. And I am in process of what I really want to do which is put out a line of performance wear for moms-to-be. Long gone are the days when gals set aside their fitness passions during pregnancy.

I work for Amtrak. Ive bounced around alot in the company and have worn various hats. Ive managed food cars on cross country trains, worked in the personal office, spent hours sweeping up cigarette butts. Currently you can find me lurking in the tunnels below union station taking pictures of the abandon mail terminal. Oh wait I mean working really hard at my aweome union job maintaining the tracks in union station! I get to bike to work every day and have access to crazy roads and tunnels that can get me from lake street to 22nd with out a stop light. Go Trains!

I drink beer....

My current title is "Management Development Facilitator". Which in a nut shell involves me conducting 5 days of training for managers working for a company called ProBuild - national collection of lumberyards based out of Denver.

I travel a ton, but am home on weekends. The best part of this project is the travel, which I enjoy a ton due to my lovely Dahon Speed 7; the worlds coolest folding bike! It is a contract job so in a year or two I will be looking for another project to get involved in.

Electrical Engineer making controllers for power tools and getting jiggy with Lithium-Ion stuff.

If anyone wants any batteries just ask. I have access to hundreds (maybe thousands?) of cells. But it's not my fault if you blow yourself up.

Thinking about law school. Sounds like a fun challenge... and I'm always up for something new.
