The man was laying on the street next to a bike yelling for help when someone found him, police said.

A 61-year-old bicyclist was injured after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday in Englewood on the South Side.

A person found the man laying on the street next to a damaged bike and yelling for help about 7:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of South Loomis Boulevard, Chicago police said.

The man suffered broken bones in his leg, hip and facial area, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

Snow tracks and damage to the bicycle indicate a vehicle was involved in the collision, police said.

Area South detectives were investigating.
