Share your pics, videos, streets, stories of what you find in the bike lane of the non-bike variety that has an impact on your ride and/or your safety. I've decided to keep it a little more open ended - cars, snow, buses, garbage, cabs, etc. If they shouldn't be in the bike lane, go ahead and add it to this thread. Please be safe if you are taking pics or video! :-)

My hope is that we can collectively build some evidence of what we see when riding in the city with the overall hope of better enforcement of "bikes only" and improving maintenance.

Update: More Hashtags to Capture Vehicles in the Bike Lane

With popular hashtags:
#BikeLaneShaming

#LaneSpreading (Chicago Bike Selling)

#ClearTheWay (ActiveTrans), there are many options to capture violations.

We think you should use ALL of them AND post your photos on The Chainlink. ;-)

Ok yay I know how to embed now. Once again that's the pic of the angry aggressive lady's car from last night.

A few nights ago... Damen, just North of Berteau. This was at dusk, a particularly dangerous time for visibility. What bums me out is that there is plenty of parking, why park the SUV in the bike lane? Why not move to a side street? This is one of the busiest bike lanes in the city. :-/

I think they park that way in order to create a safety buffer zone for them to stand in while at the driver's door of the stopped vehicle.

Agreed. And worth the inconvenience for us in my opinion.

Agreed. If there was a parking lot right there that both vehicles could turn in to it might be a different story.

Given the amount of reckless and/or aggressive driving I witness on a daily basis it is refreshing to see proof of at least one officer not letting it slide.

ok, thanks. Good points. :-)

Does it surprise anyone there that damn U in the windshield?

Has Uber ever responded to complaints about the violations?
