Same here on the too many layers front. But today's ride has me with a SEG and singing. Damn this is so much nicer than last week.

With holidays and weather, this morning was the first time in over 3 weeks I rode into work.

Most have forgotten how to dress properly. I was hot.

Rode up Cortland from Damen today. Heads up, there is a MONSTER pothole right after the bridge East of Elston. They filled it with sandbags but it could easily toss you and destroy your wheel. Beautiful morning for a ride.

I just reported it to 311, lets see if something gets done, the pavement has been jacked up there for over a year.

Left most of my layers at home, but was still a little bit warm.  Side street route not too bad except for occasional piles of ice extending four to five feet from parked cars into the lane and the incredible number of pot holes.  I also noticed on some streets that there seem to be cracks developing that run parallel with traffic direction and are big enough to catch a tire!

You're projecting :-)

I also saw some apocalyptic sized potholes yesterday when I rode from uptown to Humboldt park.  well, they were like three feet long and a couple feet deep anyway.

Three people commented in this thread today about their clothing. All three people commented that they were overdressed.

I stand by my comment :)

What bike today did you ride? And did it have fenders?

Mr. Snurly, my good weather commuter. Of course it has fenders, but I still need to install a good mudflap.

I also rode my Surly (which has become my "any weather I am willing to ride in" commuter) and it has fenders.  I don't seem to need a mudflap.

I rode the same bike I ride every day (Globe hybrid) and yes, it had fenders.
