Is it safe to leave a bike at Union Station over the weekend?

Not a terribly exciting bike: 2012 Giant, but with a Brooks saddle.

Lock: Kryptonite Evolution Mini U-lock, with a cable that I wrap around both tires.

1. Where is the best place to lock up? I'm taking Amtrak out for the weekend.

2. I've never left it locked up in public for a weekend before... it will be there when I get back, right?

Is the La Grange Station an option? Many Amtrak trains stop there and it seems safer to me. I see a number of bikes left there when we drop off my son at the train for the ride to MaComb. I'm not sayiing it couldn't be stolen but I think the odds are in your favor. It might even be easier for you to pick up the train there.
