The Chainlink

Hello, my fellow Chainlinkers-

I am looking for a used *cough, cheap* bike stand that holds 2 bikes one atop the other for my apartment. Nothing fancy, just trying to save on space.

Old plaster walls prevent me from hanging hooks, so a mostly free-standing design would be preferable. Perhaps you have one you no longer use or can recommend a particular model. Thanks!

Duh- a stand that holds one bike aloft with room for one underneath is what I meant.

(2) appropriately sized two by fours

(4) chair levelers

(2) hooks for bike

Place one chair leveler on each end of 2x4. Place 2x4's in position wherever you want them. Adjust chair levelers to get tension right. Screw the hooks into the 2x4's however you want. Hang bikes on hooks. Congratulate yourself on job well done. When you relocate, adjust chair levelers, remove.
