At this point I'd assume that few people would look beyond Google's bicycle directions, but this gal (guy?) put in the time to promote their effort via various avenues so I thought I'd pass it along.

Hi Bike Chicago,
I'm Alex, the Community Manager for HopStop and I thought our latest expansion of biking directions in Chicago (http://hopstop.itchicagobiking) in addition to San Francisco and Washington, DC might be of interest to you:
http://www.hopstop.com/blog/2011/08/biking-directions-san-francisco...
For now our biking directions are only available on our website, but we'll be adding them to our iPhone and Android apps in the coming months. We also plan to continue making improvements to our biking directions, so we'd love to hear any thoughts, suggestions or questions you might have for us!
Many thanks,
Alexandra Dao

I don't see any benefit of this over Google directions for either biking or transit. If they want to one up Google, get the pace lines on there.
I use to make trips to a place in Skokie. I took the blue line to Jefferson Park and caught a Pace bus. Google couldn't figure this out, but it was the best route.
