Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society
Information
Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

While I appreciate the article, this is more of a blog of one man’s account of his biking and and wearing a mask, and different environment that what we have in Chicago.
Do what you need to do.
As for me, personally, I’m not going to ride without a mask. I wont wear it all the time - I’ll Just pull it up whenever I approach people, or closing in on another cyclists I might overtake. I’ll also cover myself if I am aware that another cyclist was going to pass me by.
Riding with a friend will be treated the same way. If he/she does not have a mask nor the selfish prick not putting on the mask while in front of me, you best believe that I am going to be riding in front at all times and I will have my mask on.

i haven't been riding with a mask. partly it's because it's people in cars around me, and cars are a form of PPE.
tomorrow looks decent, i'd like to get out. anybody else?

What I learned from a medical professional I trust, wearing a mask is not necessary unless you're sick....
But you may be pre-symptomatic or an asymptomatic carrier. Per Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, somewhere between 25% and 50% of people infected with coronavirus may never show symptoms but can still transmit the illness to others.
Plus, if it's a mask, not a respirator, it should not be used for more than two hours....
Doesnt this refer to the use of N95 masks for the protection of health care workers? These are used to prevent infection of people who are in close proximity to infected individuals. This is not the same as use by the general public, who wear low-grade masks or other facial coverings to prevent expelling droplets that may spread the virus.
