For the first time since 2019 I rode in to work today. I missed the bike commute. Now that there is a secure place to park my bike and shower I will be riding in as much as the weather permits.

Rivendell Clem L Frame 64 cm and Velo Orange Crank

I bought the frame last year, but have decided to build up a bike with and IGH and belt drive instead. I am willing to sell the Frame, which has never been used and is still wrapped up for what I paid for it - $900. Also I have a a never used Velo Orange crankset for $150. Both these items are very elegant and are almost always out of stock.https://www.rivbike.com/products/frame-clem-l-2020…See More

"Nice. While I no longer commute to work, it's also a good place for people riding their bikes into the Loop on an occasional basis I think. At least it used to be. I don't know what their storage/membership constraints are anymore.…"

Steve Fiete replied to Mike Zumwalt's discussion Get a clue! and a light!
"I think lights are underrated.  A study on cyclists in Denmark shows incidents of injury a 19% less frequent for cyclists who always use a light.  This was a designed study, not an observational study.  Mostly we see the latter…"

"Wow. I can't believe they would allow any kind of vehicle on the road that could result in injury or even death. What are they thinking!?"

Steve Fiete replied to Jim Reho's discussion Which way is the wind really blowing?
"The general trend over many decades  has been increasing vehicle mileage.  Then around 2006 is leveled off and dropped a little bit in the recession.  Annual mileage started increasing substantially again in 2015, but it is too early…"
