You can still see the light pretty well where it is. I ride a lot at night in very low lit areas (burbs and west side) and the right side helps me see the curb and street better. I hit a pothole that was undercover before I started doing this and I will never again miss a hole in the street.

Great build! Why not mount the lite on the left fork for better visibility by cars?
