I'm with you guys. I like to ride, but I don't feel like I'm as hard core as I perceive many of the folks who are out on organized rides. Maybe it's a misperception on my part. Whatever it is, I've always been scared off.

This seems like a great alternative.

i like this idea. now i just need a good road bike. i'll join a ride once i settle on a bike. my mountian bike jalopy just isn't up for the long rides anymore. :)

Sounds good Jason! Ya know, there has to be tons of us out there who feel the same way. We're decent/good riders but for whatever reason have been scared off by the formal teams. I'm just looking to get some miles in and have fun...

I like your idea as well Ashley! I'll definitely try to join a ride or two or even put one together. I know of some of the riding groups out there but I've always been too lazy or 'intimidated' to join for a ride, even though I'm a fairly avid cyclist.

Awesome! I'm so excited, I'd love to have a great group to pull from, it's always more fun (not to mention safer) to ride with others.

I'm note doing Bike Pyschos this weekend, I'm running a pub crawl on Saturday and have my century training on Sunday...

Ashley, this is a great idea. I fall into the same exact group as you, I like to ride pretty long (at least 40) and pretty fast (16-22), but I'm not quite quick enough for xxx or spider monkeys. So heck yes, I'm joining up!
And are you doing Bike Psychos this weekend?
