Scaring myself here-- just realized that "West Side Story" relates to the "West Side." Was only thinking about the rumble . . .this is like some sort of omen. Maybe a different scene from West Side Story should be acted out every ride?

Actually, Morrisey might work too . . .

I think the ride should be on the same night as the Wicker Park mass.
I'll hook you up with the music from West Side Story to play on your trailer. You could all dress like James Dean and have a rumble.

Is this the ride that used to be secret so's not to get overrun by hipsters and scare the indiginal neighborhood folks away?
Does this mean you've given up . . .?

I look SW from the 6th floor of a building at Division and Oakley on weekends, then look northeast from the 6th floor of a building at 19th and California during the week.
You have to know the west side to know where it starts and where it ends; most of us define the city by grid numbers.
Technically the west side is anything north of the canal corridor and soouth of the north branch. North-Side-centrism has allowed us to divide the city into a north and south half for too long.
Reframe, Todd, you've been corrupted.

Hadn't heard of a "west side mass" before. Is this something new you are trying to start?

I don't really think of Humboldt Park as the west side. I'd reserve that for something between say Cicero and Harlem avenue. Why not just call it the Humboldt Park mass?

Also, ought to announce a more specific start location.
