I keep thinking about getting something new, but then I ride it and think, "Wow. I don't need to upgrade."

The cheapest way is to take a crescent wrench and bend it back. The right way is take it to someone with some torch skills and have it bent back some heat.

I bent my right rear dropout. The derailleur got jammed into the spokes as I was riding causing it to pull the drop out open more (into an "L" shape). Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this? Its a steel frame of course.

Thanks for suggestions on tires. I should have specified that I meant narrower, high-pressure tires for presta tubes in 27 x 1 or 27 x 1 1/8. It this is of help to anyone else, here's what I've found:
Harris Cyclery has Panaracer Pasela and Pasela Tourgard in 27x 1" and 27 x 1 1/8". Biketiresdirect offers Paselas in 27 x 1; Vittoria Zaffiro in 27 x 1 1/8; Kenda K36 in 27 x 1 1/8". Both have a wider range, including Continentals and Michelins, in 27 x 1 1/4. Biketiresdirect also has Schwalbe in that size. Still not sure where to buy these at a Chicago LBS. Rapid Transit offered to order Zaffiros for me, but mentioned a price of about $30 a tire. These are 15.95 online.

K-Mart has Kevlar folding 27" tires. Bell brand. the work as well as any.

The Continental Ultra Sports are good and available in 27". They usually have em at Smart Bike Parts, along with Vittoria Zaffiros. They have the Michelins and Panaracers on the Harris Cyclery page, but they are kind of expensive.
