So many great memories - Buffalo Wild Wings, Potter's Hill (Hell), the RAGBRAI dance (aka, move your arms slightly and bounce), Dan Brown's keys, host family conversations....I need to sit and write these down!

My favorite memory this year was sitting with my sister outside the Fareway in Clear Lake, eating watermelon and drinking beer because we couldn't find our host house and we were too tired to continue without a break.

The Muskie Inn's all-you-can-eat fish was great but I felt like a bloated goat! And the shortcut was grrrrrrreat!

I loved spending time in Parkersburg- and sitting at the Muskie Inn in Ventura on the way to Clear Lake via shortcut!

I have to say that I was surprised on how hard the ride was . . . but it was fun. However, I am glad to be sitting on my couch with fat puppies!

What is everyone's favorite RAGBRAI memory?

addendum to message about the gathering at Hostelling International, 24 E. Congress this Tuesday, August 3rd - it starts at 5:30PM and ends at 7:30PM although I could talk forever about cycling A to Z.

I've been asked to do a seminar I've titled Cycling A to Z this Tuesday night. You are invited to add to whatever I have to say, which btw is totally ad lib based on a long list from A to Z and lots of experience on a dozen bikes.. It can also be a place where we can re-hash Ragbrai for ourselves and others. The location is 24 E. Congress Parkway at Hostelling International, a great place to send out of town visitors if you can't host them yourself.

It's free and even includes PBJ sandwiches. Sorry, no alcohol allowed in the building.

Please RSVP on thechainlink.org page announcing it on Tuesday, August 3rd so I'll know how many sandwiches to make. And start posting your RAGBRAI photos and messages again.
