I haven't done a Ragbrai century in a long time, I kinda developed a distaste for riding in circles.  Maybe if I pack some vodka/lemonade with me I could this year.

It's an I-80 route, not bad.  Last time we stayed in Atlantic in 2001, there was a HUGE off route party in Marne.  I suspect there will be again this year.  The local constable was helping soap up the naked beer slide.  Marne will be packed on that Saturday and Sunday.

I suspect from Atlantic to Carroll, we'll hit Audubon and Manning.  Manning to Audubon in 2006 was probably the worst 20 miles of riding I've ever experienced, anywhere.

Going in and out of Altoona will be crazy; so many Des Moines dayriders out for a leisurely stroll, clueless how to ride in such a big group.

I like this route, a good dose of rollers and flats.

Can't wait!! Boone was a pass through town in 2008 and I remember it as being a highlight of my week. If they threw such a good party then, I can only imagine how they'll go all out as an overnight town!

Would you guys consider this a central route? I like how they have the mileage divided this year. Whose with me for century day!?

Route announcement is right now, live at ragbrai.com.

175 days.

12 days till the route announcement.  Last year was north and flat and easy and crowded.  Year before started in Council Bluffs and messed around mid-southern route, passing by Rudy's Rendezvous in Lacona. Fantastic deep friend tacos!

We've not ridden Pilot Mound in many years; a mid state route, starting in Mo Valley would be fun.  Whichever route I hope it's hillier than last year.

I'm planning on going to Ragbrai, but I might already be in Iowa. I kind of have a lot of things up in the air.
