FWIW ~ I got no CCM plans for May. I'd like to have the Halloween ride end at my place again, and there will be the Bike Winter Arts Festival in February (most likely at Flat Iron again). In both cases, I don't really care about the route, just want to help create two fun biannual destinations.

It seems to me that there's not much point in debating about where the ride is going to go if you're not involved in actually planning routes and making maps. What other real organizing is there to be done? As much as I enjoy the conversation on the CCM list, talk is cheap.

Mapmaker, Mapmaker,
Make me a map,
Find me a ride,
riding's a snap
Mapmaker, Mapmaker
Look through your book,
And make me a perfect map

I'm not quite sure.

I had the impression Andrew intended it more to be about the nuts and bolts of map making and planning/organizing routes and rides.

A discussion about whether we should plan the next CCM to go to Wicker Park or Bucktown or should we just flip a coin would be better debated as widely as possible in forums dedicated to CCM.

If we are going to talk Critical Mass routes, shouldn't that be done on the CCM uiuc listserv or perhaps in the CCM group here on chainlink?

I just finished hours over days plowing through EVERYTHING on CCM, and have collected maybe 32 distinct CCM route flyers. My deepest compliments to you all, and several in particular. Funny things is several repeat authors are already dear friends. Others I know noddingly, but Payton you did a few and I'm not sure we've well met? Hi!

Heads up that I may bring mappy fun things to the Carfree in The Windy City Party at Konak after 9pm Th 2009.05.07 in case anyone wants to start tossing around WNBR-C6 route thoughts.
