Hi- Ash do you want to meet and put together a little workshop? I can be there and will have my guys. I can post to our blog and put together a hand-out and maybe flyer or pick one up from Gin depends what works for Ash and Jason. I can learn to post on the Chainlink too.
I'm glad to post flyers in Uptown- I ride by Julie's office in the mornings most days on my way home from school drop but I can make one at home too! J.
I can make an info flyer to distributre at the actual event, if someone else can make the copies. I will not be at the event but can be a resource to whoever does the workshop. Who can volunteer to create a chainlink event and post to other local calendars? I will add to the chicago kidical mass calendar. Thanks!
Can anyone flyer todays Critical Mass with sheets about this ride?
I can't make it...
I'll be there (not sure yet if my kids can come). I can help be a safety guide/corker or tail. I can help plan a route (via google maps) but unfortunately I won't have availability for a pre-ride, but this is a shorter time span, so I assume the route will be pretty simple and can also enjoy sections of Stockton drive or other roads in the park.
Also Jennifer, Gin, Ash- seemed you were discussing doing a "Family options to ride with your kids demo" If thats easy to pull together, we could lead off our Cycelogical workshop with that kind of demo, follow it with a 10-15min Kid riding safety workshop and lead that right into the KM ride...As for promotion: I can post to the Empirical Opera listserve and Waldorf School community...Can someone post it to the ATA calendar? other blogsites? The chainlink event calendar...?
I made the rash move of committing us to doing a Kidical Mass ride for April 2nd from 11:30 to 12:30 as part of the Cyclelogical event. Hopefully I'll be able to start promoting it tomorrow in the calendar and forums, etc. at CCM tomorrow evening.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone who can help in any way with the ride planning, promotion or execution will speak up here and say what they can do.
Thanks! And here was Kristen's reply to which I replied we'll go for it...

Hello Jason and Todd,
I'm SO sorry for the delayed response - I've been out sick for the past few days. Thanks for your patience and persistence!
I think a KM ride in conjunction with Cyclelogical sounds GREAT. After speaking with some of my awesome project team members, I think it makes the most sense to count Kidical Mass almost as another workshop session. "Want to learn more about incorporating biking into your family lifestyle? Go ride with this awesome crowd!" I like the 11:30-12:30 idea (starting right after the bike safety presentation ends, getting back before the fair is over).
I will include a bit of a disclaimer - while this event is being well-publicized, it is the first time it's being attempted in this neighborhood, at this time, with these presenters, etc. I have NO idea if anyone is going to come! So far, there are about 20 people coming to help out/present...but I'm not sure about actual attendees. I say this only because I DEFINITELY want you to attend and lead a ride...but to not hate me if no one from the event joins you. We'll try our best, but no guarantees!
Let's be in closer touch via email over the next few days if you have questions.
Kristen
Hi Todd
I sent Gin a quick note. The Portland km has some very cute activities that they do. Their ride usually roves but Katie at A Civilized Conveyence on blogspot usually has eventish ideas for their Mass that might be fun. good night! J.
