Yes, I believe Dutch Bike shop on Armitage rents them.

Does anyone know whether there are shops in Chicago that rent out Dutch bikes?

I really want a Dutch bike, saving my pennies :) I already have a Bern helmet though (really wanted a yakkay too) so I'll be ready...

We had a few Yakkays in earlier this year. Nice but expensive until there is a proper distributor.

Hello All. We are ordering new fall/winter Bern Helmets this week. Stop by and try on what we have in the shop for size. We can also special order specific styles for you. See you soon!

I usually don't wear a helmet on this bike, but the non-ventilated bern with the ear flaps is great for when it is really cold. I use it with ski goggles and a wool scarf under my nose on the coldest days.

J.G., I wear either my Nutcase or Bern (for winter) helmets when I ride my Dutch bike. I agree that a regular sporty helmet doesn't look right with a relaxed city bike. I bought them online, but Copenhagen Cyclery sells Bern and De Fietsfabriek sells Nutcase.

Greetings ladies & gents!

British Bicycle of Chicago
cordially invites you on The Queen's Tweed Ride on 2 May 2009. While you may not have a British bike we do so appreciate your sense of Dutch style and panache!
