Okay, why didn't my link show up? I used the infinity sign, like h3 said. Anyway, if this doesn't work, check out the Trib's home page. Critical Mass photos

Re: the marriage proposal, I just saw this on the Trib's home page (and how the heck did I miss the sign at CM?):

My pics are posted in the usual place

I saw more than a thousand cyclists out for a peaceful, relaxed summer-time bike ride, and our ride was supported by hundreds of non-cyclists who smiled, waved, gave high-fives, took our pictures, and even honked their horns in support.

I also saw a few incidents, including one where a chubby guy in a Corvette was nudging his way through the circle on Belmont screaming, “My son is sick and has the flu.” A masser walked next to him and helped the dude escape, telling cyclists, “Let him through, let him through, let him through.” The mass parted and he drove away. That masser kept his head and did a good deed. His act was in the spirit of the mass, IMO, but then so was the young woman next to him yelling, “Get your bleeping back-to-the-future car out of here.”

I was riding my bike home from work when I got to Addison & Sheffield. I saw the Mass going by. I joined it for one block up to Clark. At Clark, a northbound blue sports car tried to do that lurch-into-the-intersection-to-intimidate-bikes-into-giving-me-my-way-thing. I instantly though; "Uh-oh, wrong move fella." Before the thought bubble was gone the dude's car was surrounded with bikes. Wish I could have ridden longer.

Yeah it was a scary ride, especially down division. Lots of tension when we ride through the north side. I like west and south side rides better...

Link for pictures. (Not sure why, but you have to enter something manually for the URL)
